Ranong Port will serve as a gateway for trade with countries in India sea, Middle East, Africa and Europe. It provides a more convenient navigation route since cargo vessels need not sail via the Malaka Strait where traffic is already congested and unsafe from pirates. Imports and exporters could save time and costs of the cargo transport. More importantly, it is an alternative for Thailand's Trade expansion into the world market.
